The Company

Company Kaimann was started in 1959 by Wilhelm Kaimann as a one-man-company involved in the installation and maintenance of heating systems. The firm was subsequently incorporated as a registered company in 1973 as a distributor for radiators.

In the early 1980’s Wilhelm Kaimann decided to expand his business by including heat pumps and heating circuit distributors in his product range.

In the middle of 1985 Kaimann began importing insulation systems for resale to the European market, the combination of radiators and insulation systems formed an ideal basis for the continual growth of the business.

Wilhelm Kaimann had been thinking of setting up his own production of insulation and in 1999 in addition to his trading activities he was finally able to implement this production in Hövelhof, Germany.

The new production included a completely integrated production line from mixing and blending of the raw material through to the extrusion and the vulcanisation of the finished product.

In 2003 Georg J. Kaimann took over the general management of the company.

1973:

• Incorporated as a registered company - trade in radiators.

1985:

• Start of trading activities in insulation materials.

1992:

• Foundation KAIMANN Norway.

1998:

• Opened sales representation in Budapest.
• Opened sales representation in Prague.

1999:

• Start up of a new production plant for insulation materials in Hövelhof.
• Foundation KAIMANN Danmark AS, Copenhagen.
• Foundation KAIMANN Stockholm AB, Stockholm.

2000:

• Opened sales representation in Moscow, Russia.

2002:

• Opened KAIMANN Asia-Pacific Pte. Ltd., Singapore.

2004:

• Foundation subsidiary company KAIMANN France S.A.
• Foundation subsidiary company KAIMANN Italia s.r.l.

2006:

• Company take-over by Georg J. Kaimann.
• Integration of production of Hövelhof and Lüneburg in Hövelhof.

2007:

• Expansion and modernisation of warehousing in Hövelhof.

2008:

• Expansion and modernisation of production plant in Hövelhof
• Start of own mixing plant

2009:

• 50 years of KAIMANN!
• Opened KAIMANN, Graz

2010:

• KAIMANN - foam technology of tomorrow!
• Opened KAIMANN, Spain

2011:

• Two additional directors are appointed: For the areas of manufacturing, research & development and logistics Mr. Ralf Springub and for the areas of administration, accounting and finance Mr. Martin Eilerts.
